Goodbye 2017

This year a lot of things happened in my life, some of them were bad and made me feel really depressed, but I don't want to start the New Year sad and that is why in this last post of the year I will focus only in the positive things that happened. Let's start!

Obviously, the most important thing that happened this year was my trip to Japan. It had always been my dream since I was 8 years old, and I finally accomplished it!

I know I have wrote it everywhere a hundred times but seriously, seeing my favourite band in a live was the best thing ever happened to me, I still cannot describe how amazing that moment was, and I am incredibly grateful for that day, I will remember it forever as one of the best experiences of my life.

But not only I got to see my favourite band, but also to meet in person my favourite singer: Tarja Turunen! She has the most beautiful voice in the world and she is also such a nice person! I am incredibly happy I got to tell her how special she is to me! Really, thank you Tarja.♡

Those were definitely the best moments of 2017 but not the only ones:
♡I'm happy I got to wear Lolita more this year and could sell and buy stuff to have a more comfortable wardrobe.
♡I met a great people at Tarja's concert and I'm really glad because they are such a nice fandom! I can't wait to meet them again!

♡I read more than any other year in my life after not being too much into literature for a depression, and I really loved doing it again! I hope to read even more books in the future!
♡Also, I went out more with friends! I want to go out more frequently and stop being so anti-social, lol.
♡Last but not least, I got really nice grades at University and got a lot of compliments in my last project, which made me really happy and feel like I'm in the right path.

I really hope 2018 to be a better year! To try new things, to improve my health habits (both physical and spiritual), to share with new people and maybe come back to Japan? We'll see... For now, I wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Ideal and Horizon

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to go out with my dearest friend ♡ we strolled for the city looking for a place to finally celebrate together the next International Lolita Day (we even have been planning our coord for almost three years now, lol).

For the occasion we decided to wear finally our A9 tees from their latest tour!♡ They are incredibly long! Looked like a dress! (We even thought about wearing them as one next time, lol) I was wearing IDEAL BLACK TEE and my friend HORIZON WHITE TEE. Twinning but in different colour.

Finally we decided to go to a café we already knew, we took a look at the place and the menu, which counts with vegetarian options! I tried a vegetarian panini with salad and berries smoothie, then we decided that will be the place for our next meeting in Lolita!♡

Something I like about this place is that it has a huge mirror in the restrooms so we were able to take our mirror selfie! haha.

It was a lovely evening with one of my favourite persons ever, we cannot meet frequently but when we can it is amazing!♡

By the way, I was wearing a wig she gave me as a birthday present years ago!

H i l d e g a r d ♡ Lolita review

Hildegard JSK by Innocent World had been on my wishlist ever since I started Lolita. I fell in love with its simplicity yet elegance, and as I think it is a little rare I am so happy to finally own it! Thank you Closet Child for make Lolita dreams true.♡

But what!? It is not black!? Yes, it actually is navy! But you know? Navy is the only color I get to use aside from black, even in my every day clothes. And I will tell you a little secret: in fact it is the second non-black dress in my wardrobe! Haha.

As I already said, what I liked the most about this dress is the simply design it has, no print or too much lace, what makes it perfect for casual occasions and easy to wear in every-day life. Yet it has a very pretty lace up bodice at the back which makes it elegant too.

The military-like detail with the buttons is the pretty much the only adornment in the dress and I love it, the bow, the buttons and the lace are just too lovely.♡ In all the dress details the lace is the same, a pretty roses pattern. I found interesting that the lace is coffee, such a curious colour combination with navy.

I mentioned it before, I bought this dress at Closet Child online shop, it is a second-hand shop so sometimes the clothes can have stains or missing parts and be damaged but the only thing I could spot was the neck bow became unstitched, but! for only 8,800¥ I think is totally ok!

In general, it is a dreamy dress, I loved everything about it.♡ Even if it is not black I think I may be able to do a pretty gothic coord. I cannot wait to wear it!

S h e g l i t ♡ A Gothic Lolita's Dream

I would like to share one of my recent favourite brands: Sheglit. It is a japanese brand which designs are mainly elegant and gothic. Refined, classical and elegant shapes are some characteristics of the brand that made me fell totally in love with it!♡

I found out about this brand last year at my country's National Tea Party with Yuko Ashizawa (Atelier Pierrot's designer), as she sells the brand on AP's shop, and had a second chance of seeing it back in April because of my Japan trip but unfortunately in both occasions I had not the opportunity of buying any thing...

I really love blouses with a bow tie on the neck! I like the contrast between them: one looking more sober and casual while the other more elegant with lacy details.♡

I do not really wear overdresses but this one looks just so perfect! It adds a real goth touch in your coord! And the beautiful cape bolero.. what can I say? Flawless!♡

The pleated, asymmetric cut of the skirt is everything.♡ I saw the corset and it was just too beautiful at my eyes! First at the Tea Party's fashion show and then at Laforet, what a gloom I felt for not being able to buy it! But I know you will be mine!

I know many Lolitas prefer JSK because of the multiple coords you can create with them just changing the accessories, easier than coordinating with OPs, but I definitely prefer OPs! Especially high-neck, long-sleeve, black OPs♡ Do I need to say some thing more? Haha

I really hope to get something from Sheglit!♡ I think it works fine for both elegant and casual thanks to its sobriety and lack of print (which is definitely not needed!) My only complain about it is the price of course, but ahhh, all Lolita brands are so expensive! Sheglit's prices are not a surprice considering that. But one day...

At this moment, in Japan is already July 5th. And? Why is it important? Why is it so important for me? Well, on this day my favourite human, the most important person for me was born.

It will sound ridiculous for many, how is it that the person you care the most about does not even know you? But believe me, he has given to me true happiness that nobody never gave me.

It is not a secret my favorite band is A9 and definitely not another one about my love for Shou, the vocalist. I still remember perfectly the firs time I heard and watched a video of Alice Nine (yes, they were Alice Nine before) and I immediately fell totally in love with them!♡ The music, the aesthetic, the video, the lyrics: everything was just perfect! I have never in my life liked a band so much! And I never thought they would become an incredibly important part of my life.

Since that very first moment Shou caught my eye, I found his voice just so beautiful for this world and when I discovered he was the writer of all the lyrics I felt even more inspired by him! How can a person write such magical, delightful words?♡ Lyrics in music have always been so important for me –that is one of the reasons why I dislike such current music with no feeling– and every song he writes is just full of feeling, full of pictures. I dare say I consider him a modern poet of our time; i have cried, smiled and laughed with his lyrics, and even more! They are just a huge bomb of feelings for me!

This year is even more important because finally, after following him for eight years (eight!!) I was able to see him in person, to hear his voice in a live!♡ And I already talked about the concert and how I felt but this is my most precious memory and do not want to forget it! Every day since that day I smile back at the image of him singing, talking, smiling in front of me!♡

I express you my gratitude not only for that beautiful moment, but also for all others that you, with the power of your music, has given to me. Every song, every lyric, every video, every concert and every program fill my every-day with joy and grace.♡

Thank you for your smile. a smile that seems like a ray of sunshine passing through the gray clouds, a smile with a sweetest smell than a thousand flowers, a smile that feels like the fresh scent of a summer adventure into the woods, a smile that warms my heart like a thousand suns. The smile that blows sadness away. Because just one picture of your smile is enough for me to be happy the rest of the week.♡

Thank you for the silly moments, my Devil King♡ thank you for the care you have for your friends and the fans, thank you for the effort you make every day to prove your best. Thank you for being yourself and do what makes you happy, because if you are happy, I am happy.

It is hard for me not being able to go to every single of your concerts (even if that is what I desire the most in life!) but wherever I am, I will always love you and support you, no matter what, because you changed my life. I cannot imagine how my life would be if I would have not known you, until this day you still are my number-one motivation in life, my inspiration, my light in the dark and my love.♡

And this is just a very little part of all I wanted to say, but I cannot find the words to express correctly all my feelings and gratitude for all you have done to me, at least I would like to say: thank you for being born.♡

r e v i e w ♡ CutieKill

I saw on my feed on instagram a lot of pictures of pretty skirts from a Chinese store called CutieKill. 

The more I saw the pictures on my instagram, the more I wanted them! So I finally decided to get the skirts: a pleated, completely black with a belt, a black gradient pleated and a set of a gray top + suspender black skirt. I placed my order at CutieKill Storenvy on April 30, I had to wait for it to be processed and then was sent to me on May 5. 

Every time I buy something from China I have to wait at least one month for it to arrive, CutieKill offers free shipping so I thought I would have to wait even longer! But for my surprise, my order arrived on May 24! A lot less than I expected, haha.

It was packed on a very cute plastic pink bag (but I forgot to take a picture) and inside each item was inside an individual transparent plastic bag.

With all that said, let's start with the items!

♡Chic Fashion Suede Suspender Skirt / Top

This was the reason why I decided to buy from CutieKill, I really liked the suspender skirt with that top! (even if it is not black haha).

The skirt is made of suede, I love this fabric because of its matte finish, it also feels really soft and the suspenders are adjustable. The top's material was definitely not what I was expecting! I mean, is not bad, just different. It is a shiny, flimsy fabric, good for summer though. You can place your thumb in a little hole at the sleeve. The sewing is not that fantastic but I am ok with it, and I loved the detail on the collar!

♡Chic Rings Pleated Skirt

It is a simple black pleated skirt but I completely fell in love with the rings on the belt, I think that details is what made the skirt worth it. The fabric in not suede but a more common one. Again, the sewing is not that great but not bad.

♡Fading Color Pleated Skirt

I completely loved this skirt! The fading black looks so cool! Again, the fabric for this skirt is different, it is just a little bit shiny and has the same sewing quality.

I was really happy they sent me a little gift, a black choker! It is not a super amazing gift but it speaks good about the store, not everyone send you something for free. Another thing I must mention, I asked them to mark my order with a lower value because fees can be very high some times! And they kindly agree.♡
